The rebrand of Macy's Inc. holding company was needed to differentiate from Macy's retail. A new logo was designed as well as a branding system that incorporates all the Macy's Inc. retail companies; Macy's, Bloomingdales, and Blue Mercury. Lastly a pattern was designed using the curvature of the Macy's M. This pattern symbolizes the linking of these three brands under the Macy's Inc. umbrella.
